Nokia Solutions & Networks engaged Alkira to support the Telecom and IT Services infrastructure renewal program. Our focus was on end-to-end service management transition planning, minimising disruption and maximising operational efficiency.
Alkira's Scope:
- Requirements Definition & Vendor Management: We defined clear requirements and expectations for technology suppliers regarding tools, processes, governance, and transition planning. This included a detailed mapping of vendor proposals against Nokia's specific needs, ensuring alignment and value.
- Supplier Analysis & Negotiation: Alkira analysed technology supplier responses, providing objective assessments and facilitating scope negotiations to achieve the best possible outcomes for Nokia.
- Risk Mitigation & Lessons Learned: We proactively performed a Lessons Learned and Risk Assessment for the implementation of the new supplier landscape, identifying potential challenges and developing mitigation strategies. This ensured a smoother, more predictable transition.
- Integrated Transition Planning: Alkira developed a comprehensive, integrated transition plan encompassing all service providers, ensuring coordination and minimising integration risks.
- Service Readiness & Operational Excellence: We developed a robust service readiness approach, guaranteeing that when Business Services (and underlying IT Services) went live, the operational support processes, tools, and personnel were fully prepared to deliver seamless end-to-end support. This focus on operational readiness ensured a positive impact on Nokia's business.
